This project builds capacity for genomic surveillance of infectious disease pathogens, establishing pipelines for whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatics analysis. We develop sustainable genomic surveillance systems that can be maintained locally, training researchers in next-generation sequencing technologies and computational analysis methods. The project contributes to regional preparedness for emerging infectious disease threats.
